First ad in multi-spot series between now and election day

NASHVILLE, TN (June 25, 2026)

Today, the Best of Tennessee announced the launch of an aggressive voter mobilization campaign aimed at educating Tennessee voters on the importance of participating in the state’s August 6 primary election. The campaign’s first ad, “Escalation” begins running today across various platforms, with additional spots set to release on a rolling basis between now and Election Day, August 6.

“Right now, a small sliver of voters is choosing Tennessee’s future for the rest of us,” said Chloe Akers, founder and CEO of Best of Tennessee, Inc. “We’re asking every Tennessean to show up on August 6th and change that math – because a more representative government only exists when more of us show up to vote in the primary election.”

Tennessee’s primary will decide contested races up and down the ballot, including Governor, Congress, and State Legislature, yet turnout in primary elections consistently lags far behind general elections. While 64% of Tennessee voters participated in 2024’s general election, only 14% of voters showed up to the 2024 primary.

Because 95% of the state’s races are actually decided in the primary, this means a small, often unrepresentative slice of the electorate is determining who represents us. If we want a government that works for the majority, we need to increase participation in this critical election.

Best of Tennessee Inc.’s campaign is designed to do just that. By reaching voters where they are and making a clear, nonpartisan case for why their primary vote matters, the campaign hopes to mobilize more Tennesseans to vote in the election that matters most because doing so is the first step toward a more representative government.

The campaign will continue to grow in the weeks leading up to the primary, with each new ad building on the last in order to keep voter education front and center as key dates approach:

Voter registration deadline: July 7, 2026

Early voting: July 17 – August 1, 2026

Primary Election Day: August 6, 2026
